Resolving Issues With Payers

Support for Providers Affected by Change HealthCare Hack

The recent Change Healthcare hacks have disrupted the payment of claims to a select group of insurance providers. CarePaths has collected information regarding the payers who are not currently accepting electronic claims due to the hack.

If you send claims to any payer on this list you have a few options to resume getting payments.

  1. Upgrade your CarePaths accounts to allow the clearinghouse to send paper claims on your behalf to the payer ($40 per month per NPI/EIN combo + $0.65 per claim). You will still get ERAs sent to CarePaths. The only difference is your claims will not be sent electronically to the payer.
  2. In CarePaths, drop your claims to paper, print and send. You will still get ERAs sent to CarePaths to reconcile payments.
  3. Set up accounts on the payers portal and submit claims using the portal’s form. You may not get ERA’s and will need to post claim payments manually to the patient’s account in CarePaths.
